Seller To Do List
- Select an Agent that you feel comfortable with
.- Talk to the agent about critical timings for the sale i.e., settlement period.
- Ensure the Agent you sign with is the Agent present during the sale, not the assistant.
- Have your house ready for sale, use the Checklist provided by your Agent.
-Do a final walk through and talk to the Agent about how to stage the home.
- For Open Homes use the guide as provided by your Agent.
- Get the yard neat and tidy and do this the day before an Open Home.
- Ask for quality feedback and if an offer is made it should be on paper.
- Walk through other Open Homes to see what the competition is.
-The process can be stressful so find ways to relax and trust your Agent's judgement
What happens when you sell your house
Get a contract from the Agent, read over the contract and ensure the details are correct
- If you need, get a Solicitor to look over the contract
- When ready sign & initial relevant pages
- Keep the house insured until settlement
- Put the important dates into the calendar - settlement
- Get a copy of the dated contract from the Agent or Admin
- The buyer will do a Building & Pest Inspection- The buyer will have or may have a Valuation done on the home
- The buyer will do a Pre-settlement inspection
- Clean the home before settlement
- Gives the keys and remotes to your Agent
- Congratulations it is settled
